A Novena to Support All Consecrated Persons in the Church
by Msgr. Charles M. Mangan.
Jesus gave only one commandment regarding vocations: pray. This brief novena is meant to encourage all members of the Church to pray for consecrated persons, for the strengthening of consecrated life and the increase of vocations to the consecrated life. Inspired by Blessed John Paul II’s establishment of the World Day of Consecrated Life, this 31-page booklet contains selections from the annual messages/homilies of the Holy Father, along with short meditations for each day, commemorating this annual event.
It is a great devotional for religious who wish to renew their spiritual commitment and rekindle the fervor of their offering to the Lord. It’s also an attractive resource for parishes and schools to cultivate the culture of vocations, while praying for consecrated persons.
Msgr. Mangan worked for several years with the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and for Societies of Apostolic Life in the Vatican, and is a priest of the Diocese of Sioux Falls.
