Pope Francis proclaimed an extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy from December 8, 2015 to November 8, 2016 as an invitation for all people to experience the merciful love of God. To celebrate that time of grace, a beautiful icon was written by Vivian Imbruglia (SacredImageIcons.com), dominated by an image of Christ as the Good Shepherd, taking upon his shoulders the Lost Soul. Behind Him is the Holy Door and below is the Mother of Mercy. On her left are depicted Gospel encounters with the merciful Lord and on the right are saints who made Divine Mercy their mission in life, including St. Faustina, St. Pio, St. John Paul II, St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Maximilian Kolbe, OFM.Conv., and St. Therese of Lisieux. The Holy Card is 3" x 5" with a Prayer for the Jubilee Year of Mercy, adapted from Pope Francis' Prayer for the Jubilee Year, on the back.
