This course will look into the various wounds many carry with them into religious life and how to deal with them in a creative way and with God’s grace turn them into stepping stones to deeper conversion, healing and Divine reliance. The major part of the course will be a psychological analysis of trauma and the wounds they cause. There will also be a spiritual component centered on forgiveness, inner asceticism, and prayer in the
healing process. Various approaches to healing will also be presented and a brief look into canon law in what it has to say about safeguarding.
