This course provides an overview of the theological and moral virtues, their role in living out the Christian life, the necessity of growth in virtue to reach Christian perfection, charity as the essence of Christian perfection, and the role of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The primary focus is on the cardinal or moral virtues which the spiritual director assists the directed person to develop (SPIR 634).
