by Fr. Norbert Wood, O.Praem.

This course examines the ideal of the consecrated life as embodied in the life and teaching of Augustine of Hippo (354-430), the great giant and doctor of the Western Church. Students explore the little known monastic ideal of Augustine, the crucial role it played in his conversion, and its centrality in his life right up to the moment of his death. The course also looks at the key teachings left behind in the writings of Augustine vis-a-vis the consecrated life for both men and women, with special attention given to the corpus which makes up his “Rule.”

The course is divided into 10 sessions; all sessions are included for $30. It is purchased as a digital download; a link will be emailed to you following purchase.
